Has the Bond theme been over or underused in the movies?

Do you think the Bond theme has been used to often in the Bond movies? Or not enough?

I say underused. Something about using the theme that makes the feel of a Bond movie more Bond-ish.

Depends on the movie.

It's overused in "Tomorrow Never Dies, no doubt because it was so UNDER-used in "Goldeneye." Usually one or two instances per flick is a good rule, outside of the gunbarrel-opening.

David Arnold seems to be quite good at sneaking in elements of it throughout his scores.

Underused. It's a great track but the filmmakers seem to have shied away from using it in all its glory of late.

underused...but when it is it fits well. probably my favorite music moment is in tmwtgg, when pepper see bond and wonders where he remembers him from, and it plays the little "live and let die" lick. brilliant

I think it was underused in OHMSS, but as said before over used in TND. The TMWTGG "live and let die" music snippet was a great little extra bit just to show that the previous Bonds are not forgot when the new film is out.

I think it is used just right in TWINE and it worked so well during the boat chase down the Thames. I like LALD in that it doesnt use the Bond theme much, but instead it tries to use the main titlke song in the right moments.

Actually, I was watching the Tommorow Never Dies movie a while ago, and I found that they way underuse the theme. They don't even put one shard of the theme. The only music they put, is the Surender theme.
