My favorites really haven't changed a whole lot from a few years ago.
1. Misery by Stephen King 2. Psycho by Robert Bloch 3. Color Purple by Alice Walker 4. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

Is that part of the Monk series? As in the novels based on the TV show?

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead is probably my favorite of all-time, if you want to call it a book, play, novella, whatever, I read it and it was brilliant. I'm pretty big on Shakespeare, I liked Macbeth probably the most out of what I've read so far. A Clockwork Orange is a phenomenal novel, I don't care who you are, I think everyone should read it. I also enjoy Dan Brown's writing, particularly Angels & Demons. Also, Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers, is a fantastic book on the insight of the Vietnam war, really great read. Mind you all, I don't like reading, so a book REALLY has to grab my attention to enjoy it.

A Clockwork Orange may be one of the most ed up things I've ever read. Right up there with The Naked Lunch. Seriously. Watch the movie, it will disturb you quite a bit less.

A Clockwork Orange is an excellent movie, my favorite of the Kubricks I've seen. I would like to read the book eventually.

Perhaps read the Shining, speaking of Kubrick's book/movie adaptations. If you read the book you will understand why Stephen King was so pissed about the movie. And the movie will seem like you've just watched kittens drink milk from a pink dish compared to reading the book. Its that scary.

Would not it be wonderful if we could find more time for some of our favorite things. For me it is curling up on the couch with a really good thriller as a novel by Stephen King or one of the most heart breaking novels by Danielle Steel.
In this hectic world we live in, can be difficult to find that kind of time. But what if you could have someone read you your favorite piece of literature. And if the words were spoken on your MP3 player, iPod or burned to a CD you can listen anytime anywhere you wanted. While commuting to work, doing housework or even be going out with friends. Now you can. Downloadable audiobooks are making this possible and it is so easy to do. Thousands of titles are available for immediate download including the latest bestsellers such as Dan Brown Angels and Demons Horror and Suspense. For children it can stimulate a desire to learn. By listening to audio books children are presented with the opportunity to listen to the language by providing models for the correct use of grammar and also giving them the opportunity to hear the correct pronunciation of new words or difficult. Listening to stories is still a great way to spend time together as a family and has been shown to improve some skills childs conversation and encourage them to express themselves. The purchase of audio books is a simple process, with instant results. No waiting for your books to arrive, does not return to the library. Just browse your favorite category, choose your audio book, pay, just download and enjoy listening to the narration professional at your convenience. Some websites also offer samples of readings for you to listen as well as in the short and informative videos about the process. It 's as easy as 1-2-3! |
