Mutual Respect

I was browsing through some Indiana Jones forums and I really picked up the mutual respect the fans of both series (Indy and Bond) have for each other. I really think that this is the best rivalry of heroes in the film industry.

I would agree. And don't think that this rivalry is made up by the fans. Spielberg wanted to make a Bond movie but was denied by Cubby Broccoli. Indiana Jones was Spielberg's rebuttle to the Bond series.

I believe Tarantino, Scorsese, Spielberg and many more big directors have all wanted to make a bond film. I don't blame them.

Wow, and each of them would bring remarkably different ideas to the movies. It's nice to know that Eon really never has taken these huge, Hollywood, household names as directors. I'd say that's good for the series.

Yeah, a complete oposite of the Star Wars/Star Trek respect...we respect eather other as losers...
