UWF97Nole has no reputation.
Why not a prequel?

I think a prequel, like a serious prequel is in order for JB franchise. Like what they did with "Batman Begins"
We all know who James Bond, but who is he really and how did he get his start?

Much like Batman Begins, we found out who Bruce Wayne was and how he was driven to be the man the super hero he is.

I think we need a James Bond movie that shows him as a Sub lieutenant in the Royal Navy and how Mi6 came to recruit him, etc.

I can see where you're coming from but I shouldn't think we'll be seeing another reboot any time soon. More likely to see the naval origins of Bond in the film on Fleming due out over the next few years

I think Bond himself is the key ingredient of the films: the combination of the larger-than-life and his stereotypically British response. When faced with larger-than-life gadgets, villains and situations, he must take all of this in his stride, keep calm and carry on, and, no matter how difficult the situation is, he must not only pull through but ultimately come out on top

Welcome UWF97NOLE!
I agree with Shaken, I don't think we'll be seeing a reboot... That said, if you like to read, you should check out a book called "James Bond The Authorized Biography of 007"
It's by John Pearson.
I picked it up at a thrift store several years ago, it gets your imagination going about who Bond was before he was 007. It's an enjoyable, quick read.
