Telly Savalas. Donald Pleasance was too over-the-top and completely not threatening. Charles Grey was camp but otherwise a complete nonentity. Max Von Sydow I can't really comment on because it's been positively ages since I last saw NSNA, but he is a really fantastic actor and from what I remember he was one of NSNA's positives.

Telly is my favorite. He did the best performance as Blofeld.
Donald had the best appearence as blofeld, the scar I mean, but he was a terrible actor.
Charles would have been a lot better had he looked the part better. I like him as an actor, not as a James Bond bad guy.
Anthony Dawson did not get the oporunity to play the character very much. He did well with what he did play.

Donald Pleasance was a very good performer in a lot of films. You Only Live Twice was simply not one of them. I for one dislike the scar and much of his make-up, as it is, as with everything about his Blofeld, far too over-the-top.

I chose Telly simply because he was the most formidable interpretation of the character. Pleasance is a close second.

Savalas was good, so was the "voice" of the original....

I have to go with Pleasance though........

You never even really SAW Anthony Dawson..just his voice. Donald Pleasance is exactly how I imagined him. Plus, he's who Dr. Evil is based off of. I really think that he is the perfect, menacing evil extroidenaire. I like Charles Gray as well. But I don't think that Terry Sevalas was at all "menacing." Kind of boring, in my opinion.
