Best opening sequence?
I'd say The Spy Who Loved Me, with the Union Jack parachute. It's a classic scene, and I love how the Bond theme kicks in really loud when he opens his chute.

TSWLM is a great choice. that ski chase scene is excellent ( ignoring the bad special effects
) and when the music kicks in, its fabulous. I also like The Living Daylights. it is Action-tastic! |

I really like Goldfinger's opening scene... I'd also have to say that Goldeneye, TND, and TWINE all have really good opening scenes. Let's See.. Best of all? I'd have to go with either Octopussy or FYEO.

can't forget the Living Daylights: I love when he gets on the boat and grabs the girl's phone.
Bond: I need to use your phone (grabs phone) she'll call you back. Bond:...I'll be there in an hour Girl: Won't you join me? Bond: Better make that two.

GF, DAF, and TLD are way ahead of the others in my mind.
Although TSWLM, GE and OHMSS are very memorable, but I don't like them as much. FRWL and YOLT also had great ones.

Octopussy was a good one. I still laugh when I hear "Fill er up."
![]() Live and Let Die, with the agents being killed (especially in New Orleans with the funeral) is superb. One of my favorites. The Spy Who Loved Me is a classic, with the ski chase and the jump off the cliff. And finally, the fight in mid-air in Moonraker was excellent.

One more thing, Mr. Blofeld, how do you explain dressing in drag in 1971? The seventies were a very confusing time for me. Besides, everyone was doing it. |
