My favorite would either be The World is not Enough or Die Another Day.

His best performance:
1. Goldeneye (As James Bond should act in the 90's)
2. The World Is Not Enough (He's not invincible, which is a better performace)
3. Tomorrow Never Dies (COOL)
4. Die Another Day(relaxed into the role)

I agree with your rankings of the Brosnan bond films, but I wouldn't say Die Another Day doesn't count although it is one of the weakest films in the series.

After watching DAD again, it is bumped up a bit higher. It really isn't as bad as it is built up to be.

It definately isn't the greatest, it is still in the bottom five on my list, however, after reading many posts here on BM *jack wade* I was beginning to think that the movie was a comlete waste, however, it really isn't nearly as bad as it is built up to be.

What Die Another Day lacked the most was soul. The World is not Enough had that, Goldeneye as well and even a bit in Tomorrow Never Dies, but Die Another Day was missing it, big time.

I agree, Die Another Day is weak. It didn't have the Bond edge. The only way I can describe it is, when I watched it, it didn't feel like a Bond film.

The music reminded me now and again, but everything else had gone. Apart from Halle Berry, Rosamund Pike and the chinese girl in the hotel room in Hong Kong, Bond doesn't talk to many other women. This sounds cheasy but I missed the number of women he used to woo one way or another. It was ok, but i.e. The World is Not Enough, there were lots more gags, like Molly Warmflash scene, the sunglasses in the casino scene.

Also, if anyone watched the making of Die Another Day, you see they added a certain colour to the film, some kind of effect it is.

This looked good at the beginning in Korea, bleak, dull and was Cold War style which suited the movie. I thought, we are in for a treat here.

Then, as soon as he hits Cuba, everything is all cheery, colourful and he seems to have completely recovered from his 4yr imprisonment was it? From this point on, to me, it didn't seem like a Bond film but a a spoof. Maybe the bit in Iceland, and thats it.

Reminded me of another True Lies, or badly done Van Damme film :p

It is still ok though...
