Hello everybody. I'm new to this site, I only signed in today. Apparently Bond 21 is now scheduled for release in Spring 2006, rather than for November 2005. Forget what JoJo Bond says, it will NOT star Hugh Jackman-not that he wouldn't make a good Bond. Here's hoping that it goes back to the mix of action, drama and characterisation that made GE and TWINE so good, and not the American-style superhero action of DAD and (to a lesser extent) TND.
So Spring 2006 it is then. And it may or may not star Pierce Brosnan. Bring it on. Let's hope MGM, EON and Sony get their act together and start filming for April 2005, as rumours have suggested. |

bond 21 in 2006?
renard, i agree that the next bond should go back to its roots for a more goldeneye-like feel and that is why they are avoiding the special effects bonanza that was die another day. the reduced production budget should make for a more classic film.....but a november 2006 release is more realistic because MI3 will be released in spring 2006 so to avoid the competition, sony will push for the holiday season...november is a better date anyway for box office cash

Yeah, surely Bond 21 deserves to be released in one of the big seasons, be it summer or winter. Releasing it in spring would give the impression Bond is scared of the competition. If Sony has real faith in Bond they should release Bond 21 on the fourth of July weekend in the States.

I completely agree, Renard. I would froth for a TWINE-style Bond movie. Let's face it folks, we're not going to get a FRWL2. It's too big of a risk, especially with Sony who is not shy of putting out movies with the biggest budgets and most special effects. On the other hand, we're no longer dealing with a struggling MGM franchise who's saving grace was the Bond series, whether they want to admit it or not.
I don't see what would be so hard in making a TWINE-style movie. It can be current and contemporary without splashing craploads of cheesy CGI and extraordinarily fictional storylines.
