Every Bond Movies are behond phenomenal.

The best movies on earth, by far, are the James Bond movies.

So, all 20 Bond Movies are behond phenomemal.

But, in those 20 movies, some are more behond phenomenal then others.

So thats why I voted On Her Majesty's Secret Service

The Man With The Golden Gun just feels very flat and tired to me. I hate the theme song, hate the fashion of the time and am never excited by the pre-teaser or revisiting it in the climax.

I agree with you there. I also voted for Moonraker, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever and A View to a Kill. All, I feel, cross the line between light-hearted and ridiculous. Well, not DAF so much. That's just banal.

And Martini, you don't like Goldeneye? That's a very different opinion. Any reasons that ruined it for you? And please don't tell me it was because of the music. Okay, Serra might have had a different approach but you can't let that ruin the whole movie for you. And if it's really that bad, then turn off the sound and put on subtitles.

Brosnan annoyed the heck out of me as Bond - was looking not at all like a naval officer - long hair, designer stubble, which had been out of fashion for a few years or was confined to Bruce Willis movies (another example of following rather than leading). I thought driving the Aston was a farce. Alec had some god awful lines (more money than God!!!). The tank chase was dire (BTW what is the big Perrier thing? Am I missing something cos in both GE and TND a huge pile of Perrier bottles get smashed during a chase). Oh and did I mention the music.....

I can recommend 'Dressed To Kill: James Bond - The Suited Hero' (1996) By Jay McInerney, Nicholas Foulkes, Neil Norman and Nick Sullivan, (with an introduction by Albert R no less) which addresses the sartorial development of Bond. It firmly puts forth the style elements that Bond needs to keep abreast of whilst still maintaing the 'Bond' look (that Tim & Rog definately strayed from).

As far as the stuble goes, my Making of TND book has a quote in the makeup section that the needed to keep Pierce a little unshaven (stuble) in some scenes as he appeared too young through the lens. I find it conceivable that his hair may be a little longer as he was working 'under-cover' as it were mixing with civilians (& meglomaniacs!)

One of Goldeneye’s scriptwriters, Bruce Feirstein identified that the way forward for the movies in 1995 was to return to the core essentials that made the character so endearing; “The world has changed. James Bond has not.” Hence the inclusion of many 'key' touchstones to the series which included the martini, blatant womanising & the (for me, welcome) return of the Aston Martin DB5.

I've addressed my opinion about the score in the music section of this site.

For my money, the oppening of GE is one of the best, the inclusion of a rouge agent (006) makes for a nice ying/yang contemporary villain, Pierce is impressive in all his action scenes and Famke is delicious....No, No, No...no more foreplay!

I honestly can't understand why anyone would vote From Russia With Love as one of the worst Bond films. From Russia With Love is probably one of the best films in the entire series.

Some people (myself not included) find it to be a very slow movie--enough to detract from the many wonderful things in it. It also lacked many of the elements of the current 'formula,' which was really kicked into gear with GF.
