Pierce Brosnan favours Gerard Butler and Colin Salmon as James Bond #6

Pierce Brosnan was his usual charming self when he caught up with his favourite Daily Mirror (UK) gossip columnists.

His date for the night was his son Sean, 19, who is studing acting at the Central School Of Speech And Drama in London.

Pierce - who very kindly said to Jessica when the flash on the camera took time to warm up: "I'll just stand here and stroke your back while we wait" - revealed he wasn't serious about tipping Colin Farrell as the next Bond star.

"That was only a joke. I can't really see that happening," he said.

"I think Gerard Butler would be great. Colin Salmon would be brilliant but they don't have the bottle.

"I know what you're like - you'll say to the next Bond star that he's the best one ever. You won't be loyal to me!"

Pierce has been a big supporter for Colin Salmon being Bond since having Colin Salmon assist in Bond girl screen tests (in TWINE and DAD, I believe). He mentions so in the DAD commentary.

Also, John, here's an example how you could have summarized that one:

Pierce Brosnan likes Colin Salmon as Bond, but doesn't think the producers have the 'bottles.'
He also thinks that Gerard Butler would be a good choice.
He also mentioned that tipping Colin Farrell last year was merely a joke.

I'm just trying to make it easier for you to summarize the articles, because it's freaking annoying having the entire article show up on the board. It's almost plagarism, and plagarism is illegal.

Perm, the only thing I would say is John normally adds the links at the bottom of his news posts so he can't be accused of plagiarism.

By the way, that is the correct spelling of the word - P L A G I A R I S M.

I am no English expert - I checked the spelling on the net - but I guess it helps if we can all spell it right before we criticise people of doing it. Hope no-one minds me saying that.

And yeah, I know it isn't plagiarism all out, but then again, that's why I said it's almost plagairism. If he didn't have the link at the end, it would be.

I don't think he means any harm by posting all of the details. Perhaps you can make an exception and let him continue posting all of his news links. I know I've been guilty of that in the past. Sometimes it's easier just to cut and paste the article rather than summarize. Unless the article is very long, I don't see a real problem. But I'll respect whatever the policy is on this site. Is it now official policy to summarize all news posts?

It's not official, but people have commented about him taking all his information from MI6. That, and I also find it extremely annoying when people just repost the whole story, especially with the frequency Johnny's done it.

Well may I just say that I like John. He is a very friendly chap, one of the friendliest people I've ever met on the net. He said some nice things about me. I think he only means well when he posts the stuff. Just my impression, but he seems a genuinely nice young man. I will stick up for you , John.
