Helen McCrory And Ola Rapace Confirmed For Skyfall

The official James Bond Twitter account https://twitter.com/#!/007 announced today two additions to the cast of Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond film.

First, they confirmed recent reports that British actress Helen McCrory -- perhaps best known to IGN readers for her role as Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter films -- has been cast.

They also announced that Swedish actor Ola Rapace (Wallander) has been cast in the Sam Mendes-directed sequel. Neither actors' characters were revealed.

It is interesting to note that Ola Rapace is married to actress Noomi Rapace, who played the title role in the original The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and its two sequels. Bond star Daniel Craig stars in the forthcoming Hollywood retelling of the bestselling novel.

Skyfall commenced filming today in London.

Ola Rapace's kind of boring as an actor, but McCrory's cool. And I really dig the fact that the Bond girls are 35 (Harris) and 43 (McCrory) this time. At last some grown-ups. Bérénice Marlohe is of course very young (she looks about 15), but we can of course hope that Bond treats her with the same dignity as he treated Olga with in Quantum.
