I only have OHMSS but I can get all the others - Fleming, Amis, Gardner and Benson - from the local library.

Maxwell is a trusted Bond informant.
Sure.

1968 - "Colonel Sun" by Kingsley Amis (writing as Robert Markham) Amis did the final dust-up of "The Man with the Golden Gun" before it was published, Fleming having passed away.

1981 - "License Renewed" by John Gardner
1982 - "For Special services" by John Gardner
1983 - "Icebreaker" by John Gardner
1984 - "Role of Honor" by John Gardner
1986 - "Nobody Lives Forever" by John Gardner
1987 - "No Deals, Mr. Bond" by John Gardner
1987 - "Scorpius" by John Gardner
1989 - "Win, Lose or Die" by John Gardner (this is the last one I read, because I was starting to think they were getting monotonous)
1990 - "Brokenclaw" by John Gardner
1991 - "The Man from Barbarossa" by John Gardner
1992 - "Death is Forever" by John Gardner
1993 - "Never Send Flowers" by John Gardner
1994 - "SeaFire" by John Gardner
1995 - "Cold Fall" (only in the U.S. Titled "Cold" elsewhere) by John Gardner
1997 - "Zero Minus Ten" by Raymond Benson
1998 - "The Facts of Death" by Raymond Benson
1999 - "High Time to Kill" by Raymond Benson
2000 - "Doubleshot" by Raymond Benson
2001 - "Never Dream of Dying" by Raymond Benson
2002 - "The Man with the Red Tatoo" by Raymond Benson

I've left out the movie-tie-in's because, well, they just make things confusing. They are:

1977 -"James Bond, The Spy Who Loved Me"-screenwriter Christopher Wood's novelization attempts to set his screenplay in the "real" world. A bit of a stretch. Makes "Jaws" almost believable.

1979 -"James Bond and Moonraker"-by Wood (again adapting his screenplay)

1989 -"License to Kill" - John Gardner tries to tie this one into the literary Bond, but can't hide his incredulity "Felix bitten by a shark...AGAIN!!"

1995 - "Goldeneye" - Gardner again, see above. At one point writes, "It was like the plot of a bad movie!" Aw c'mon, John!!

1997 - "Tomorrow Never Dies" - Raymond Benson

1999 - "The World is Not Enough"- Raymond Benson (actually read this to try and figure TWINE out!!)
and
2002 - "Die Another Day" - Benson.

There's ANOTHER Bond book, from 1973, written by Ian Fleming's biographer John Pearson called "James Bond:The Authorized Biography of 007" which reads like a biography, but is, of course, total fiction. Bond is retired, settled down with Honeychile Ryder (!), and tells his story, including those parts Fleming never got around to, and at the end is called back to service to hunt down Rosa Klebb, who has bio-engineered giant rodents!!! Sounded like Sherlock Holmes fabled "Case of the Giant Rats of Sumatra" to me, but it was overall OK.

Hope this helps.

.............................yeh...............I believe you. An author would have noticed that people have a capital letter at the front of people's names. And an apostrophe in between the I and the m of Im (it should be 'I'm' "Mr. Author") And a capital letter at the beginning of each sentence....can't wait to read your books!!!

I have every Fleming book (thanks to a box set from Pastimes), I have a few of the VERY old ones. They're nearly falling apart!! I have about 5 of Benson's books.

Proxima is a Bond informant.
The only books I can find are very spartan looking. They have a gun, a girl, the title, and "A James Bond Novel" at the top.

A lot of the old covers were rather bland. The new ones look great, however.
