It may be worse than Jinx......

I was reading some magazine at the dentists office, and it had an entertainment article that said that EON is actually debating about Jinx, or about making a female 00 agent franchise.

The two actresses being considered are Sarah Michele Gellar and Drew Barrymore.

When I read that I thought, damn even for a rumor that is totally fucked up.

What the hell? Well it most likely won't happen. Plus, Sarah is probably doing her teen horror films and Drew is doing the Charlie's Angel's sequels. These are definetely those rumors that don't last more than one week before they are denied.

Matt G has no reputation.
Thought the 00 agents were supposed to be British anyway! Are people saying there are no actresses from the UK(or Ireland) that could do the job?

The scary thing about the article was it claimed that Gellar and Barrymore have had screentests already.

I think the name Jinx, simply being in DAD, not to mention the character and possible franchise may be a bad omen.

Maxwell is a trusted Bond informant.
The Barrymore thing is even MORE unlikely since Barrymore is an executive producer of the CA movies: they're her baby, she got Diaz and Liu to sign up for it personally, and the Bond series is a rival series.

It was reported on "E!" (always reliable )that she and McG (CA's and FT's director) snuck into DAD during its first days to make sure that DAD's helicopter stunt wasn't the same as Full Throttle's helicopter stunt.

I don't think she'd participate in something that might draw money from her own project.

The studio behind the Charlie's Angels franchise is Columbia/Sony and there's no love lost between them and EON. I doubt they'd allow this.

Proxima is a Bond informant.
Where will it stop? A CIA movie franchise? A teen 00 movie franchise? Another James Bond movie franchise running alongside the regular Bond franchise?

I'm quite happy with the one official Bond franchise.

Just the mere thought of Barrymore and Gellar getting screentests from EON makes me sick.

What a horrendous, despicable rumor. I hope that it proves to be false, and all rumors about future spinoffs/franchises do the same.

I don't get it. Why risk jeopardizing a series that has worked wonderfully for the past 40+ years?!

to MGM if they make a spin-off or a new series.

Do you remember what magazine the article was from by any chance George?

No, I was just about the double-check the cover when I got called, then someone else had it when I left.

But if I'm not mistaking I think it was called WENN, that the article said fron WENN.

I think the magazine was like celebrity news or celebrity or gossip, or people or some non-sense like that..
