About time. Seems like good casting decisions from Eon. Eva Green is gorgeous.

OK, so good old Felix Leiter is back in Casino Royale. But if this movie is supposed to be a prequel, why is Leiter in the movie. Bond says in Dr. No that he had heard of Leiter but never met him. Also Judi is "M"in her fifth Bond Film, but again if this movie is a prequel shouldn't "M" be a male (someone who looks like Bernerd Lee). I don't like the fact that this film is a prequel. Bond should move forward not backwards. I'm glad that Felix Leiter is back. But Royale Should be a sequel and Leiter should be walking on an artificial leg.

not be a raceist or anything but i notcie that felix liter was being played by a black man in all the movies he is in he is white i was just wondering

Everything you have said bothers the living daylights out of me, no pun intended. How are they going to handel the Leither and "M" situations. If the produsers screw the prequel up, than it will mess with the whole series, from Connery through Brosnan and any other film Craig is planning to do. Lets keep are fingers crossed that this is not the beginning of the end of Bond. On a competly different note, I love who tey chose as Vesper Lynd.

I think the producers are pretty much ignoring all of the continuity issues here. Not that it's bad, but when you start worrying about all these things, it could detract from the plans of the film.

Well, I thought I had read that it was more of a 'reboot' of the franchise, instead of a prequel, a la Batman Begins.

Does anyone know what the situation with M is? Judi Dench is the only returning cast member, but would they do it that way? I love her in the part, but I have the feeling that the franchise will become stale after this movie.

I agree that bringing Dame Judi back is a bit odd, considering the status of the film, but I look at it this way--if you could get Dame Judi in a movie you were making, would you turn her away?

This worries me as well, because if the producers ignore all the continuity issues of the series than Bond will be a completly different man. Micheal and Barbara please be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear. Apart from Mads, this doesn't impress me (as a Dane I have seen Mads in many films - he is an EXCELLENT actor).

A Black Felix? I don't even have to say 'I'm not being racist' to justify saying that it DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. The Felix in the book actually got on very well with the blacks in Harlem in Live and Let Die because he respected them as people (unlike most people, including Bond, in the 1950s), something a black actor obviously could not convey. The PC crowd can scream that race doesn't matter all they like, but with characters as complex as Fleming's, it does.

Judi back? Don't get me wrong, I love her M, but this is meant to be a 28 year old Bond gaining his 007 status in the first thrilling mission of his life, not some cheap DAD-era sequel.
