I'm in the middle of reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I'm on the first part The Gunslinger. Has anyone else read that?

I have and I find it is not one of the best he has written but you may say otherwise.

This is the first Stephen King book I've read, so I've got nothing to compare it to. I've heard The Stand is his best book.

if you want scary get Pet Semetary and IT. And it is with an S not a C on the front of the book.

A coworker of mine thouroughly enjoys the dark tower series. I haven't read any King myself, though.

I dont really like series books myself because the story seems to drag a little throughout the second book.

The film is good too, and pretty faithful to the novel.

The Green Mile, The Shining...they're both long and really good. His name is Stephen, by the way

I think The Stand movie was more like 8 to 10 hours long.
