Contributions:Ian Fleming was born on May 28, 1908 in London, England, and died of a heart attack on August 12, 1964 in Kent, England. Fleming is perhaps the best thing to ever happen in the movie world. Although Fleming never had a part in the actual process of making any movies, all of his James Bond novels have been transformed in one way or another into a James Bond movie, including the upcoming "Casino Royale," which was his first novel in the James Bond series. Fleming's novel "Chitty Chitty, Bang Bang" was also turned into a movie. Fleming's last words were, "Awfully sorry to trouble you chaps." However, Fleming has done anything but trouble movie goers, film makers, and book worms world wide. The James Bond character, as well as several others including M, Moneypenny, Felix Leiter, and Q, not to mention most of the series infamous villains, were originated in some form in one of Fleming's 14 James Bond novels.

Fleming is tributed as being the creator of James Bond, which goes without saying, but also the creator of the spy-craze that began in the 1960's, causing a flood of spy movies and television shows. None of these imposter spy-outlets became nearly as successful as the James Bond series, and all of it's success can be divided up between the actors and the crew, but the biggest chunk goes to Ian Fleming for creating such a universal character that millions can relate to and appreciate.
