BondMovies.com Message Board member Perminisconious had the privelege of attending the 2004 E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) Convention on Friday May 14th in Los Angeles, CA USA. Among many games featured at the convention was the most recent James Bond video game installment, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. Perminisconious graciously gave us a rundown (as well as some pictures) of the game's showing at E3:

On Friday, I managed to go to the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it's essentially a giant video game convention for people in the industry, where upcoming games are featured in various forms of completion. Knowing that Electronic Arts is developing Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, I knew that some Bond fans would like some information on this title, so I tried to get what I could, including some pictures, which I will include here as well.

First of all, I saw a couple of demo videos which were ran, and the graphics look sweet. Of the various things I saw, I saw the Fort Knox set (which looks remarkable), the return of double weapons, and fully animated weapon loading (think Halo). The cool thing is that if the magazine of a pistol is out, the gun doesn't return to it's normal firing position.

The most important thing I saw was that EA and Microsoft have resolved their issues, and EA games will now have support for Xbox Live. From everything I saw, Rogue Agent WILL be included in this lineup.

Unfortunately, there was no playable demo, but the videos definitely made the game look great, and I'm looking forward to playing it when I get the chance.

I'll note that these pictures aren't GREAT quality, since I was taking them on my camera phone (I still lack a digital camera).

This is a bit of the Fort Knox level:

This is one of the levels where you get to shoot a bunch of tankers and make them explode. It also shows a bit of the gun firing animation:

This is a corridor that reminded me a bit of one of the levels from Agent Under Fire:

Thanks to Perminisconious for the report!
