Can you believe it?

In less than a month, Bond fans will finally see Daniel Craig reprise his role as the world's favorite secret agent, James Bond Agent 007 in Quantum Of Solace. As the premiere date looms (November 14th in the US, November 7th for the UK) and anticipation builds, it really is difficult to be a Bond fan.

In these times of unprecedented cinematic accessibility, fans (can be) bombarded with official blog reports from the set, multiple trailers and TV spots, product commercials and endorsements, music videos and an entirely new medium of fan communication (see the BM article YouTube Of Solace). As a result, some may find it difficult to see the upcoming Bond movie without bias. I have tried avoiding this bias as much as possible, though I fear (despite my best efforts) still having some.

Quantum Of Solace Teaser Poster

You may have noticed that I haven't detailed every James Bond news item that has hit the net in the past few days. In fact, I haven't written anything in the past few weeks. Of course, I am constantly reading about things at the Message Board (don't worry about spoilers there - spoiler code is your friend!) and give my opinion on recent events, sure, but I shy away from giving mainstream coverage of any movie spoiler as to not taint fans' experiences on premiere night.

The last straw was a few weeks ago when, without going into specifics, I found out some details about a crucial, nostalgic scene in the movie. I still think I will enjoy the scene at first viewing, but I resent the fact that my first interpretation wasn't in a movie theater. In this respect, I envy the casual Bond fan - who may have the a 007 DVD collection or two but doesn't scour the Internet for the slightest hint of a detail about the upcoming movie.

So with less than a month remaining and midnight showing tickets soon to be available, the calm (if you could call it that) of anticipation only makes the storm of Quantum Of Solace that much worth it.

Be patient Bond fans, we are almost there!
