The first time I heard about this movie, I was skeptical. Who ever heard of a Bond flick that was aired as a TV special in 1954 that was less than an hour long? Well, at least I didn't. It was also black and white! I was shown up though, because I was very impressed by this movie.
I think the black and white coloring added positively to the movie. This was one of the last Bond movies I saw after watching the entire series, so black and white coloring gave this movie its own personality. Barry Nelson did a good job, with memorable scenes at the baccarat table with LeChiffre and with the Bond girl played by Linda Christian. The only problem I saw with this movie was, of course, the length, which is usually the case for all Bond movies, because I never want them to end!
