Bond (Daniel Craig) and Vesper’s (Eva Green) budding relationship hits a snag in this scene from Casino Royale (2006) when they arrive at their hotel. Bond snarkily blows his own cover to the receptionist when checking in, angering a by-the-book Vesper who doesn’t want to make any mistakes.

She brushes him and his big ego off by taking the elevator by herself, which frees up Bond to get a packages from a hotel employee which turns out to be the key fob to his Aston Martin DBS, which might be my favorite all-time James Bond car. Just look at how beautiful this car is! Seeing it come into frame and take up the whole shot still makes me think “wow” and I distinctly remember saying that under my breath at the theater. This car is a character of its own!

Unfortunately, like most modern/Craig Bond cars, it is vastly underutilized in this movie.. At least we get this cool shot and Bond coolly checking the glove compartment and his gun. Oh well.
